Naja's Warm Welcome

The Last American Pastoral by Chris Glickman is a sustained reflection on American self-image and the myths that shape how history, power, and identity are understood. Developed over several years, the project unfolds as a photobook that lingers in uncertainty rather than resolution, examining how violence, intimacy, labour, and belief are often encountered through performance rather than lived reality.
A collaboration between Chris Glickman and Lot resident Theodore Jahng, this audio work functions as a companion to the book, extending its concerns into sound. Presented as part of the gallery installation at (lab)oratorie in London, it is intended to be experienced alongside the images. This site-specific piece at the Lot Radio features performers Rob Resnick and Michael Dona, who act as proxies for the the larger project.
