DJ Koolt is an iconic figure in the South American underground dance floor scene. Global audiences know that no two nights will be the same with Koolt behind the decks. He's not about following trends; instead, he vibes off the energy of the crowd digging into his massive vinyl collection to create unforgettable sets. Whether he is performing as DJ Koolt, dedicated to electronic dancefloor music, or as Mr. Koolt, open to all types of sounds, the connection and trance that his sets generate are unique, no matter where on the planet he performs or who his audience is. One could say that Eduardo Cardozo's DJ career began in the late '90s when he purchased his first set of turntables and started playing at friends' parties. But truth be told, the story began much earlier, thanks to a music-loving family that introduced him to cutting-edge electronic sounds from a young age. Edu started to record music on the radio, honing his mixing skills on a double cassette player. Eventually, he realized that his hobby could become a career, leading him to pursue a life dedicated to DJing. Over the years, Koolt became one of the most influential DJs in Uruguay, leaving a lasting impact on younger generations who consider him their mentor. He is a vital figure in the Uruguayan scene that has gained international recognition. Koolt was also one of the founders of Phonotheque, a club that opened in 2013 and has become one of the most significant venues in the Latin American underground scene, as well as a global reference point. His legendary sets at Phonotheque have gained a cult following. Since 2017, Koolt's tours of Europe have expanded into world tours, including Asia, Oceania, and the United States. In recent years, he has performed at iconic festivals and venues. Although his name has become global, Edu's passion for the dance floor remains the same as the first day when his friends discovered a hidden DJ in him and DJ Koolt was born.
