Palestine Forever welcomes Elina Arbo, a New York-based, Michigan-born DJ and electronic music producer with Assyrian-Iraqi and Armenian roots. Her work has typically been in radio, the club scene and multimedia performance spaces, challenging mainstream tropes of dance music, while also weaving in experimental and abrasive styles and sounds. As a 2023 Remix Culture resident, Arbo’s work encompassed live remixes alongside an ensemble of MENA/SWANA traditional musicians, creating collaborative sets to counter cultural erasure; these performances were staged across New York and California as part of a Gaza benefit concert series. Elina is also the co-founder of Hye Frequencies, a NYC-based Armenian DJ collective.
