The session
InternationalJOE is live in the container for a sonic journey across borders, cultures, and the Black diaspora. Inspired by his award-winning film Three Colors: Pan-African, which explores the idea that Blackness is not a monolith, the show explores the many ways Blackness can sound. Moving between places, eras, influences, and unexpected connections, internationalJOE brings together a world of sounds that reflect the diversity, movement, and richness of the diaspora.
