Genre-bending, multifaceted artist Kweku Saunderson was born in Brooklyn and raised under the tutelage of his uncle, Detroit Techno-pioneer Kevin Saunderson. After years of a remix-focused output and touring Europe, Saunderson now turns his attention to songwriting under his own name, bringing his unique blend of Techno, House, Funk, Pop, and R&B to the fore. Kweku has released on Iconic electronic labels such as Defected, Armada, and his uncle's KMS label. Some of those releases have reached the top of the beatport charts as well as being featured prominently by publications such as Fader, Hypebeast, Complex, Billboard, et al.
