Amelia Holt is one of New York’s most distinctive and compelling selectors. With a unique approach to rhythm, she crafts DJ sets that fuse percussive patterns with electronic beats, transforming any dancefloor into a culture-bending, otherworldly experience. One might hear her play broken beats, deep high-octane dance music, alt-techno, sharp electro, and delirious krautrock — sometimes all in the same night. Amelia holds residencies at The Lot Radio and Kiosk Radio, and has played at many of NYC’s best venues, including Good Room, Nowadays, Basement, Public Records, Nightmoves, and Bossa Nova Civic Club, as well as Sustain-Release and Dripping. Outside the U.S., she has brought her sound to Tbilisi, Mexico City, Berlin, Munich, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Madrid, Montreal, Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo, and many more cities.

At the heart of her work is Honey Trap, a party and label series she founded to carve out space for playful experimentation within New York’s underground. Equal parts sonic exploration and social ritual, Honey Trap brings together artists who share a curiosity for the strange, the sensual, and the unexpected. Each edition is distinct — from sweaty basement takeovers to open-air day parties — yet all share the same spirit: rhythm-forward, unpredictable, and deeply communal.
